What Mesothelioma is?
Pleural mesothelioma is an increasingly common type of lung cancer brought on by exposure to asbestos. When inhaled, asbestos fibers become embedded in the pleura, or outer lining of the lungs, leaving behind scarring and lesions. These lesions and scars eventually develop into full-blown pleural mesothelioma, a deadly form of lung cancer for which there is no cure. Asbestos fibers can also settle in the abdominal region, triggering the development of peritoneal mesothelioma. This type of lung cancer is equally dangerous

Pro Football Hall of Famer Merlin Olsen dies of cancer at 69
Merlin Olsen, who played for the Los Angeles Rams for 15 seasons from 1962-76 and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1982, died early Thursday morning at the age of 69.
